The absence of an enterprise-grade data warehouse posed significant hurdles to supporting business growth and productivity at scale, with disconnected data sources and customer reports running on a transactional database.

Solution

The solution involved designing and creating a robust data warehouse in the Redshift database, complete with a secure access framework and automatic data management (ETL/ELT) capabilities. Additionally, data marts were established to support various reporting tools such as Power BI, Mode Analytics, Tableau, and others. Before deploying the enterprise data warehouse, a thorough migration process seamlessly transitioned hundreds of existing SQL reports to Redshift SQL reports, ensuring no disruption to business operations and customer support.

Result

The company successfully established a single source of truth within the organization and had an increase of over 50% in both customer success and productivity.
